The hardest part of a surprise proposal is getting your partner to the location without ruining the surprise. Here is the plan: You tell your partner that you’ve booked a visit to an exclusive photography exhibition about Porto in a local artist’s private studio in Gaia. It sounds like a lovely, cultural afternoon activity. They won't suspect a thing.
The Reveal
When you arrive at my studio, everything changes. As I open the door, there are no other tourists. The lights are dimmed to create a romantic atmosphere. Suddenly, your special song starts playing in the background.
Your partner looks at the main wall, expecting to see a photo of the city, but instead, they see a giant projection of a photo of the two of you.
That is your cue.
A Private Celebration
Once the question is popped and the tears are flowing, you don’t have to rush off. Waiting for you is a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and two flutes.
Unlike a public proposal where strangers start clapping or filming, here you have 30 minutes of absolute privacy. The studio is yours. You can talk, hug, cry, listen to your playlist, and soak in the moment just the two of you.
